Overview
A bold, fan-driven packaging concept that reimagines the three Gen 1 starter Pokemon — Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle — as energy drink flavors. Each can features vibrant artwork and color palettes unique to its Pokemon, housed in a custom-designed crate built for shelf impact and an unboxing experience that feels like opening a booster pack. The goal was to blend nostalgia with a fun, high-energy aesthetic and produce animated product commercials for each variant.

Concept Development
The concept pairs each Gen 1 starter — Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle — with a distinct flavor profile and color palette. Bulbasaur gets an earthy green with leaf-inspired textures, Charmander a fiery red-orange with flame accents, and Squirtle a cool blue with water-ripple effects. The idea was to make each can immediately recognizable at a glance while feeling part of a unified set that collectors would want displayed together.
Design Approach
Bold & Playful Aesthetic: High-contrast artwork and oversized Pokemon illustrations lean into the fun, energetic spirit of the franchise rather than aiming for minimalism.
One Commercial Per Variant: Each starter got its own animated product commercial, matching the can's personality — fast cuts for Charmander, fluid motion for Squirtle, and organic growth animations for Bulbasaur.
Crate Design Development
The back structure includes a foldable section that provides stability when the packaging is displayed.
Modular design with interlocking components for easy assembly without adhesives. Custom die-cut windows showcase the product while maintaining structural integrity.

Can Label Design
Developed a comprehensive label that maintains brand consistency while allowing for product differentiation across the beverage range.
